Satellite Dishes
Please note that effective April 11, 2011, Jasmine Community Association
will be removing all satellite dishes installed on the exterior of any unit or
unapproved exclusive use area. Per the governing documents (CC&R’s), a
satellite dish may be installed only if it is mounted on a mast to reach the
height needed to receive a signal, and may not be attached to any portion of
the exterior of the building or roof, all of which are Common or
Association Property areas. Homeowners wishing a variance to this policy
may submit an architectural application for further consideration; however,
a satellite dish may not be installed on any unapproved area, as set forth
above, until the owners have received prior written approval from the
Architectural Committee and/or the Board of Directors.
If you are an owner affected by this policy and you own a satellite dish
currently located on Association common area, please contact Management
at (949) 838-3257 to make prior arrangements, or be available at that time, so
as to take possession of the related equipment. If that is not possible, the
equipment will be stored for a reasonable period, no more than thirty (30)
days, after which time it will be discarded. Owners who are unable to take
immediate possession of the equipment are encouraged to contact the
Association’s management personnel to retrieve the equipment prior to the
discard date.
Owners who have satellite dish equipment removed, subject to this policy,
will receive notice of a hearing before the Board of Directors to determine
whether or not they will be assessed for the applicable costs for removal,
and repair of the roof or exterior surface where damage occurred.
This letter applies to homeowners who have installed a satellite dish on the
roof or other exterior area of the unit or unapproved exclusive use area. If
you do not own such a satellite dish, please disregard this notice. Should
you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the undersigned at
(949) 838-3271 or by email at sseifen@keystonepacific.com.
